Order of Inspector West Books

English crime novelist John Creasey created the Inspector West series, featuring Roger West, an attractive detective inspector working for Scotland Yard. Readers follow West's progression through both his professional career and personal journey across the entire series.

Creasey launched the Inspector West series in 1942 with Inspector West Takes Charge and continued writing these crime novels for over three decades. The series concluded in 1978 with A Sharp Rise in Crime, encompassing a total of 43 books. The novels were published in chronological sequence, allowing readers to experience West's story in proper order.
