Order of Elves On The Road Books

American author Mercedes Lackey, alongside various collaborating writers, created the expansive Elves on the Road fantasy universe, which encompasses four interconnected series: Diana Tregarde, Bedlam's Bard (also known as Urban Elves), Serrated Edge, and Doubled Edge.

Lackey launched this fictional universe in 1989 with Burning Water, kicking off the Diana Tregarde Investigations series. This inaugural series wrapped up in 1991 with Jinx High, followed by a final short story, Killer Byte, in 1994. The following year saw the start of the Bedlam's Bard series with Knight of Ghosts and Shadows in 1990, which ran until 2003's Music to My Sorrow. Born to Run marked the beginning of the Serrated Edge series in 1992, with Mark Shepherd's Lazerwarz bringing it to a close in 1999. The most recent addition, the Doubled Edge series—a collaboration between Lackey and Roberta Gellis—spanned from This Scepter'd Isle in 2004 to And Less Than Kind in 2008.
