The Elfhome series by American fantasy author Wen Spencer follows Tinker, a brilliant inventor and girl-genius navigating life in a transformed Pittsburgh that has been transported into the realm of the elves. In this near-future setting, Tinker operates a salvage business while attempting to manage the dangerous magical forces around her using her own ingenious inventions.

Tinker's world turns upside down when wargs pursue an Elven noble directly into her scrapyard. This encounter launches her into conflicts with powerful forces including the Elven court, the NSA, the Elven Interdimensional Agency, technology smugglers, and a determined Xenobiologist. Through it all, she struggles to maintain focus on her personal priority – navigating her first romantic relationship.

With her extraordinary intellect, practical steel-toed boots, and fierce junkyard dog mentality, Tinker prepares to battle anyone standing between her and her first kiss.
