Order of Crown Of Stars Books

American author Kate Elliott's Crown of Stars stands as an epic fantasy series spanning seven volumes. Set in the medieval European-inspired world of Novaria, the series explores a realm shaped by ancient conflict and magical catastrophe.

The world's history centers on a devastating war between humanity and mysterious beings called the Ashioi. Though sorcerers ultimately succeeded in banishing the Ashioi from the world, their victory came at an enormous price—a magical cataclysm that left the world in ruins. From these ashes, humanity rebuilt civilization, aided by the rise of the Dariyan Empire, which draws inspiration from Christian traditions and influence.

Elliott launched this ambitious fantasy saga in 1997 with King's Dragon, weaving her tale across seven novels over nearly a decade. The series reached its conclusion in 2006 with Crown of Stars, the titular final volume that gives the entire series its name.

The Crown of Stars novels were published in both release and chronological order, allowing readers to experience Elliott's intricate worldbuilding and storytelling as intended, following the natural progression of events in this richly imagined medieval fantasy realm.
