Order of Cole & Hitch Books

The Cole & Hitch western series features Marshal Virgil Cole and his deputy Everett Hitch as they bring law and order to the frontier mining and ranching town of Appaloosa. Originally created by American author Robert B. Parker, the series marked a significant shift from his typical detective fiction, following his 2001 western novel Gunman's Rhapsody about Wyatt Earp. After Parker's passing, Robert Knott continued the series, ensuring fans could follow more adventures of this dynamic lawman duo.

Launched in 2005 with the inaugural novel Appaloosa, which was later brought to the big screen in 2008, the series showcased Parker's versatility as a storyteller. His final contribution to the series was Blue-Eyed Devil, after which Knott took over the writing duties starting with Ironhorse. The books are published in chronological order, making it easy for readers to follow Cole and Hitch's ongoing story as they face the challenges of frontier justice.
