Amanda Pepper serves as the central character in American author Gillian Roberts' mystery series. This Philadelphia high school English teacher shares her creator's profession and hometown setting, but her life takes an unexpected turn when she stumbles into detective work after discovering a corpse in her own living room.
Roberts launched the Amanda Pepper series in 1987 with Caught Dead in Philadelphia and continued the mystery adventures across 14 novels, bringing the series to a close in 2007 with All's Well That Ends. The books follow both publication and chronological order in the series timeline.
