Order of C.S. Lewis Books

Born in Ireland in 1898, C.S. Lewis became one of the most beloved authors of fantasy literature, earning worldwide recognition for his masterpiece series The Chronicles of Narnia. Though he passed away in 1963, Lewis left behind an impressive literary legacy that spans both fiction and non-fiction, with much of his work aimed at young readers and woven through with Christian symbolism and themes.

Lewis shared a remarkable friendship with fellow fantasy author J.R.R. Tolkien during their time as colleagues at Oxford University. In a twist of historical timing, Lewis died on November 22, 1963—the very same day that claimed both President John F. Kennedy and author Aldous Huxley.

Lewis's writing career began in 1933 with The Pilgrim's Regress, and his creative output spanned science fiction and fantasy alongside his theological works. Remarkably, new Lewis material continues to surface and find publication even decades after his death, testament to his prolific nature as a writer.
