Order of Clara Benson Books
Clara Benson has captivated readers with her Angela Marchmont Mysteries series and Freddy Pilkington-Soames Adventures series.
What began as Benson's passion for Golden Age detective fiction—particularly the works of Agatha Christie, Dorothy L. Sayers, and Ngaio Marsh—evolved into something much more ambitious. Rather than simply writing historical fiction, Benson chose to immerse herself completely in the period by adopting the persona of Clara Benson, a writer from that golden era of mystery novels. This unique approach to authentically recreating the style and atmosphere of classic detective stories resulted in her 2013 debut novel, The Murder at Sissingham Hall, which launched the beloved Angela Marchmont series. Benson resides in North London with her family.
