Order of Claire Messud Books

American novelist Claire Messud brings a truly international perspective to her writing, having spent her formative years across three countries—the United States, Australia, and Canada. Her impressive educational journey took her through University of Toronto Schools and Milton Academy before continuing at prestigious institutions including Yale University, Cambridge University, and Syracuse University.

Messud's literary talent has earned her significant recognition in the form of Guggenheim and Radcliffe Fellowships, as well as the distinguished Strauss Living Award from the American Academy of Arts and Letters. She launched her novelistic career in 1994 with When the World Was Steady and currently resides in Cambridge, Massachusetts with her family.
