Cindy Pon crafts stories as both an accomplished author and talented brush artist. Her literary works span multiple beloved series, including the Want series (beginning with *Want*), the Serpentine series (launched with *Serpentine*), and the Kingdom of Xia series featuring *Phoenix*.

Pon's debut novel *The Silver Phoenix* earned significant critical acclaim, landing spots on the American Library Association's Booklist as one of the Top Ten Fantasy and Science Fiction Books for Youth and receiving recognition from VOYA as one of 2009's finest Fantasy, Science Fiction and Horror titles.
