Christopher Buckley is a distinguished American writer known for his sharp satirical novels and compelling non-fiction works. A Yale University graduate who earned his degree cum laude in 1976, Buckley's diverse career path took him from the Merchant Marine to the editorial offices of Esquire magazine, where he became managing editor at just 24 years old. His career reached new heights when he was appointed chief speechwriter to Vice President George H.W. Bush at age 29—an insider's experience that would later inspire his novel The White House Mess. Since 1989, Buckley has served as founder and editor-in-chief of Forbes Life magazine.
