Order of Chris Nickson Books

Chris Nickson is a British writer who has made his mark in both historical mystery fiction and non-fiction. His acclaimed series include the Richard Nottingham mysteries and the D.I. Tom Harper books. Growing up in Leeds, Nickson discovered his love for writing as a child, developing a passion that would run alongside his musical interests throughout his life.

After spending three decades in the United States, where he balanced writing with performing in bands, Nickson established himself as a professional writer in 1994. His expertise in music journalism allowed him to merge his twin passions for writing and music. In 2005, he returned to the United Kingdom.

Nickson entered the publishing world in 1995 with his biography Mariah Carey: Her Story, marking the beginning of his career as an author. Fifteen years later, he transitioned into historical fiction with The Broken Token in 2010, launching the popular Richard Nottingham series.
