Chris Collett is the creator behind the compelling Detective Mariner Mystery series, which chronicles the investigations of DI Tom Mariner.

Born and raised in a Norfolk coastal town, Collett later moved to Liverpool for her education. Her career began in special education, working with both children and adults with disabilities, before transitioning to academia as a university lecturer. Now based in Birmingham with her husband and two adult children, Collett has established herself as a versatile voice in crime fiction. When she's not crafting her mystery novels, she pens short stories, shares her expertise through creative and crime writing workshops, and serves as a manuscript assessor for the Crime Writers Association.
