Order of Charles Stross Books

Charles Stross is a British writer who crafts compelling science fiction, horror, and fantasy novels. His most popular works include the Laundry Files series and the Merchant Princes series. Stross discovered his passion for science fiction early, penning his first story at just 12 years old.

His professional journey took several interesting turns before he became a novelist. After completing a bachelor's degree in Pharmacy and working as a qualified pharmacist, Stross pursued further education at Bradford University, where he earned a post-graduate degree in computer science. This led to work as a technical author and programmer, eventually becoming a full-time technical writer by 2000 before making the leap to fiction writing.

Stross's publishing career began in 1996 with the non-fiction title The Web Architect's Handbook. His debut novel, Singularity Sky, arrived in 2003, marking the start of his successful fiction career.
