Charles Cumming writes espionage fiction and hails from Britain. His educational background includes time at Eton College, followed by earning top honors in English Literature from the University of Edinburgh. His own brush with the intelligence world came in 1995 when MI6 approached him for recruitment—an experience that would later inspire his first published work, A Spy by Nature, which introduced readers to the character Alec Milius. Since 2001, Cumming has made his home in Madrid, Spain.
