Order of Chanel Miller Books

Chanel Miller is an accomplished American writer and artist who divides her time between San Francisco and New York City. Her powerful memoir, Know My Name, earned her the prestigious 2019 National Book Critics Circle Award and secured spots on numerous national book of the year lists.

A Palo Alto native, Miller was born to a Chinese mother who immigrated to America with aspirations of becoming a writer, and an American father who worked as a therapist. She pursued her literary education at the University of California, Santa Barbara's College of Creative Studies, where she graduated with a degree in literature.
