Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Ng spent her childhood there before relocating with her family to Shaker Heights, Ohio at age ten. Her academic path led her to Harvard University for her undergraduate studies, followed by earning her Master of Fine Arts from the University of Michigan. Today, she resides in Massachusetts with her husband and son.
