Her compelling storytelling has earned her prestigious recognition, including the Prism Award, the Geffen Award, and several Colorado Book Awards.

Before building her literary career, Berg followed an academic path in STEM fields, obtaining a mathematics degree from Rice University and later a computer science degree from the University of Colorado. She spent years working as a software designer until she made the transition to pursue writing as her full-time passion. Berg resides in Colorado, where she raised her three sons.
