Caro Fraser is a British author best known for her Caper Court series. Born and raised in Glasgow, she later made her home on the Isle of Man before pursuing her writing career. Fraser's professional journey took her through advertising copywriting and legal practice, specializing in commercial and maritime law, after completing her law studies at King's College, University of London. In 1992, she transitioned to novel writing, making her publishing debut the following year with The Pupil in 1993. She comes from a literary family as the daughter of renowned novelist George MacDonald Fraser.
Among Fraser's works is the standalone novel A Little Learning, which explores the unraveling marriage of Carla and Alan Tradescant. Carla finds herself increasingly repulsed by her husband Alan, a middle-aged headmaster whose habits and obsessions have extinguished the love she once felt for him. When charismatic new English teacher Peter Barrett joins the school, Carla succumbs to temptation and begins a reckless affair.
