Camilla Trinchieri brings a rich international background to her mystery and fiction writing. This Italian-American novelist began her career in Italy's film industry before relocating to New York City, where she earned degrees from both Barnard College and Columbia University.

Writing under multiple pen names—including Trella Crespi and Camilla T. Crespi—Trinchieri launched her publishing career in 1991 with The Trouble with a Small Raise, published under the Trella Crespi byline. It wasn't until 2007 that readers saw her first novel published under her own name, The Price of Silence, marking a significant milestone in her literary journey.
