Order of Brad Parks Books
Brad Parks is an accomplished American mystery and thriller novelist, best known for his Carter Ross series that skillfully blends humor with hard-edged urban realism. Parks discovered his passion for journalism early, beginning his career at just 14 years old covering high school sports for his local paper, The Ridgefield Press. His entrepreneurial spirit emerged during his time at Dartmouth College, where he launched his own sports publication.
As a student, Parks gained valuable experience through internships at prestigious publications including The New York Times and The Boston Globe. After graduating, he continued his journalism career with an internship at The Washington Post, which led to a full-time position. It was at age 26 that Parks began crafting fiction, writing in the café of a Barnes & Noble bookstore while his wife studied nearby.
Parks made his literary debut in 2009 with Faces of the Gone, the inaugural novel in his Carter Ross series. This breakthrough work earned him both the 2010 Shamus Award and the 2010 Nero Award, establishing him as a formidable voice in crime fiction. Parks holds the unique distinction of being the only author to have captured the trifecta of major mystery writing honors: the Shamus, Nero, and Lefty awards.
