Bodie and Brock Thoene (the surname is pronounced "tay-nee") form a dynamic husband-and-wife writing partnership specializing in Christian historical fiction. Together they've crafted beloved series including the Saga of the Sierras, A.D. Chronicles, and multiple Zion series that have captivated readers worldwide.

Bodie's writing journey began early when she started as a teenage reporter for her hometown newspaper. Her career expanded into the entertainment industry, where she contributed to John Wayne's Batjac Productions and ABC Circle Films. The legendary Duke himself praised her abilities, calling Bodie "a writer with talent that captures the people and the times!" Brock brings invaluable expertise to their collaboration with his academic background in history and education, making him an indispensable partner in their literary endeavors.

The Thoenes are parents to four grown children—Rachel, Jake, Luke and Ellie—and doting grandparents to eight grandchildren. Their adventurous lifestyle takes them across multiple residences in London, Hawaii, California and Nevada.

Their publishing journey began with Brock's solo non-fiction work Protecting Your Income and Your Family's Future in 1989. The following year, 1990, marked their collaborative fiction debut with The Man from Shadow Ridge, launching what would become a prolific partnership in historical storytelling.
