An American novelist specializing in science fiction and thrillers, Bob Mayer has built a diverse writing career that spans multiple genres and pseudonyms. Writing under various pen names including Joe Dalton, Robert Doherty, Greg Donegan, and Bob McGuire, Mayer brings a unique perspective to his fiction, drawing from his background as a former Green Beret.

Beyond his solo work, Mayer frequently collaborates with fellow author Jennifer Crusie and shares his expertise as a writing instructor. He also serves as co-founder of Cool Gus Publishing.
