B.K. Stevens (1951-2017) was an American mystery writer who successfully pursued her twin passions of teaching and writing throughout her career. Though she began writing in her youth, Stevens temporarily set aside her creative pursuits to focus on literary studies, ultimately earning a Ph.D in English from Boston College. Her academic career took her to colleges and universities across six states, where she shared her love of literature with students.

Stevens rediscovered her calling as a fiction writer after reading Dorothy L. Sayers' Gaudy Night, which sparked her interest in crafting mysteries. She was a devoted wife and mother to two adult daughters.

Stevens launched her novel-writing career in 2015 with Interpretation of Murder, but she had already established herself in the mystery community through more than thirty short stories published in Alfred Hitchcock's Mystery Magazine. Here are B.K. Stevens' books listed by publication date:
