Order of Bill Beverly Books
Bill Beverly crafts compelling crime fiction and non-fiction, drawing readers into gritty, authentic narratives. A Michigan native from Kalamazoo, he completed his high school years at Kalamazoo Central before pursuing higher education at Oberlin College and the University of Florida, where he obtained his Ph.D in American literature.
Beverly channels his literary expertise as a professor of American literature and writing at Trinity University in Washington DC. He shares his life in Hyattsville, Maryland with his wife, Deborah Ager, who is also an accomplished poet and writer.
His writing career launched in 2003 with the non-fiction work On the Lam, establishing his voice in contemporary literature. Beverly's transition to fiction proved triumphant with his 2016 novel Dodgers, a breakthrough work that earned him the prestigious CWA Gold Dagger award for best crime novel of the year.
