Order of Barbara Parker Books

Barbara Parker (1947-2009) was a distinguished American mystery novelist best known for creating the Gail Connor & Anthony Quintana series, also called the Suspicion series. Her unique background combined theatrical training from the University of South Florida with a law degree from the University of Miami School of Law, giving her fiction an authentic legal foundation.

Parker's career path took her from prosecutor in Florida's state attorney's office to running her own legal practice for eight years. Her transition to writing began as both a creative outlet from her legal work and a way to provide engaging stories for her son. Eventually, her passion for writing led her to step back from private practice to work as a paralegal, allowing more time to focus on her novels.

Her publishing debut came in 1994 with "Suspicion of Innocence," launching the beloved Suspicion series. That same prolific year, she released the standalone thriller "Blood Relations." Tragically, Parker died on March 7, 2009, in Boca Raton, Florida, before completing her final work, an unpublished standalone novel titled "The Reckoning."

In "Blood Relations," Parker showcases her legal expertise through prosecutor Sam Hagen, who takes on a explosive case involving a teenage girl's rape accusation against three prominent local men.
