Order of Ann Davila Cardinal Books
Ann Dávila Cardinal specializes in young adult supernatural thrillers and comes from a literary lineage that includes renowned poets Virgilio and José Antonio Dávila, along with fiction writer Tere Dávila, her cousin. Her academic background spans multiple disciplines: a B.A. in Latino Studies from Norwich University, an M.A. in sociology from UI&U, and an MFA in Writing from Vermont College of Fine Arts (VCFA).
Cardinal has strong ties to VCFA, where she played a key role in establishing their winter Writing residency program in Puerto Rico and currently serves as Director of Recruitment. A Vermont resident, she maintains creative pursuits beyond writing, crafting miniature reading creatures through needle-felting and cycling throughout all seasons.
Her publishing journey began in 2006 with Sister Chicas, co-authored with Lisa Alvarado and Jane Alberdeston Coralin. She ventured into solo authorship with Five Midnights, published in 2019.
