Andrew M. Greeley (1928-2013) was an American writer who seamlessly blended his calling as a Catholic priest with his passion for storytelling. This remarkable author crafted mystery novels and family sagas alongside his non-fiction works, demonstrating his versatility across genres. Greeley's generosity extended beyond his writing—he dedicated all proceeds from his book sales to charitable endeavors, particularly supporting students and educational institutions throughout Chicago and the greater Chicagoland region.

Known for creating beloved series including Blackie Ryan, Nuala Anne McGrail, and the O'Malley Family chronicles, Greeley was an extraordinarily productive writer who famously declared he "has never had an unpublished thought."
