Amanda Carlson makes her home in Minneapolis, Minnesota alongside her husband and their three kids. A true Minnesota native, she earned her BA from the University of Minnesota in Speech and Hearing Science and Child Development before pursuing an A.A.S. in Sign Language Interpreting. She worked professionally as an interpreter until shortly after welcoming her first child.

The creator of the Jessica McClan series, Amanda has been crafting tales about teenage girls and their adventures since her high school days—and yes, she still keeps those original spiral notebooks! Her passion for powerful heroines and shapeshifters of every variety inspired her to write Full Blooded. Amanda believes the literary world needs more fierce, warm-blooded female characters, and she couldn't envision herself writing in any genre other than urban fantasy and paranormal romance.
