After completing her MA in English Literature at Tulane University, she made the journey from the Gulf Coast to the West Coast, where she now calls home.

When she's not weaving tales of magic, love, and identity that deeply connect with fantasy readers, Saft maintains an adventurous spirit through roller skating and aerial silks. She lives with her partner and an Italian greyhound named Marzipan, who no doubt provides excellent writing companionship.
