Order of Alix E. Harrow Books
Alix E. Harrow is an American science fiction writer who burst onto the novel scene in 2019 with her debut, The Ten Thousand Doors of January. Prior to crafting full-length works, she established herself as a talented short story writer, earning a Hugo Award in 2019 for A Witch's Guide to Escape: A Practical Compendium of Portal Fantasies.
A Kentucky native, Harrow pursued her education at the University of Vermont, where she obtained a master's degree in history. Her short fiction has graced the pages of notable publications including Shimmer, Strange Horizons, Tor.com, and Apex. Before dedicating herself to writing full-time, she worked as an academic historian, teaching African and African American history through Eastern Kentucky University's eCampus program. Having collected library cards across five states during her various relocations, Harrow has now settled in Berea, Kentucky, where she resides with her husband, son, and their beloved pets.
