Born to Cuban refugee parents, Alexandra Diaz writes compelling children's literature that draws from her rich cultural heritage. Her vivid storytelling ability traces back to childhood, where her active imagination constantly spun tales and narratives. This natural gift for storytelling eventually led her to pursue formal training, earning a Master's degree in Writing for Young People from Bath Spa University in England.

Based in Santa Fe, New Mexico, Alexandra brings a unique perspective to children's literature. She has personally collaborated with her mother to translate her works into Spanish, making her stories accessible to bilingual readers. Her literary career launched in 2009 with her debut standalone novel Of All the Stupid Things, marking the beginning of her journey as a published author.
