Order of Alex Grecian Books
Alex Grecian is an American writer who has made his mark in both historical mystery fiction and comic books. He's best known for creating the Scotland Yard's Murder Squad series and co-creating the comic book series Proof.
Grecian's literary journey began with childhood reading of classic authors including C.S. Lewis, Charles Dickens, Lewis Carroll, and Edgar Allan Poe. He later gravitated toward crime fiction, immersing himself in the works of Graham Greene, Donald E. Westlake, Ross Macdonald, and John D. MacDonald—influences that would shape his future writing career.
His professional writing career launched in comics, with his first published work being the graphic novel Seven Sons, an adaptation of a 300 A.D. Chinese folktale called The Five Brothers. Grecian transitioned to novel writing in 2012 with The Yard, which launched his acclaimed Scotland Yard's Murder Squad historical mystery series.
Recognition has followed Grecian's work, earning him multiple award nominations. He has claimed victory with the State Library of Kansas' Kansas Notable Book Award, winning twice for his novels The Yard and The Black Country.
