Order of Albert Ashforth Books
Albert Ashforth brings authentic military experience to his spy thriller novels, drawing from a distinguished career that spans multiple continents. After completing high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served overseas before pursuing his education at Brooklyn College, where he earned his bachelor's degree.
Ashforth's extensive work as a military contractor took him to some of the world's most volatile regions, including Bosnia, Kosovo, Germany, and Afghanistan. He also contributed to NATO operations by training officers in Germany, experiences that would later inform his gripping fiction. His expertise has been recognized beyond the literary world, with his writing appearing in prestigious publications such as the New York Times.
Currently a faculty member at the State University of New York, Ashforth makes his home in New York City. His publishing journey began in 1969 with the scholarly work Thomas Henry Huxley, part of the respected Twayne's English Authors series. He transitioned to fiction writing with his 1984 mystery novel Murder After the Fact, marking the beginning of his career as a novelist.
