Order of Alan Gratz Books

Alan Gratz lives in Western North Carolina's mountainous region alongside his wife Wendi and daughter Jo. He earned his College Scholars degree with a focus on creative writing, followed by a Master's degree in English education, both from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

As a young adult novelist, Alan has penned eight books. His early career achievements include being named a finalist for the 2002 Marguerite deAngeli Contest (currently called the Delacorte Dell Yearling Contest for a First Middle Grade Novel) and sharing the honor of co-winner for the 2003 Kimberly Colen Memorial Grant from the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators.
